The CompassCPA Inventory Management Module provides either centralized or decentralized control over inventory and warehouses. -- Link multiple warehouses to the organizational structure of the company by specifying user-definable departments, cost centers and sub-centers. -- Track location, quantity and movement of inventory across multiple bins, stock rooms and plants for control over raw materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods. -- Products may be spread across multiple bins, and a bin may contain multiple products and/or lots. Bins are controlled at the warehouse level. -- Products can be further controlled by use of the lot control or serial number tracking feature, standard within the CompassCPA Inventory Module. -- Record demand for products that are not stocked as inventory items. -- Certain order policies can be used in conjunction with inventory target levels, minimum and maximum order quantities, and safety stock to specify the ideal material management plan for each individual item by plant. -- Multiple user defined cost structures for a given product. -- Automatically maintains and charges average costs to user cost centers or departments. -- On-line/real-time interface to CompassCPA Purchasing, Sales, MRP and Work-In-Process features to support stock reserves for requisitions, picking ticket generation and overall stock management. -- For any given item, the inventory system tracks safety, reorder and economic order levels. -- Physical inventory counting (stock taking) can be broken down into cycles preventing the "freezing" of the entire inventory and thereby eliminating the disruption of normal business activity.
